PCA SKIN’s chemical peels & products incorporate the latest in medically and scientifically researched ingredients to nourish, hydrate and rejuvenate skin, delivering optimal results. Free of color additives, synthetic fragrances, harsh alcohols, comedogenic oils and other known sensitizers, they are designed to deliver results without irritation. ACNE
Acne affects teens and adults. It is caused from overactive oil glands, hormone fluctuations and improper skincare. PCA peels help to regulate oil production, reduce breakouts, improve both skin texture and scarring.
AGING
Aging of the skin is a result of many different factors that can be broken into two categories: intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic or uncontrollable aging is chronological and genetic. Facial wrinkling, expression lines and drier, more sensitive skin may be a result of intrinsic aging. The extrinsic or more controllable factors of aging refer to exposure to the sun and/or pollutants which cause a breakdown of the skin’s structure, leading to discoloration, wrinkles, skin growths and even cancer. Many skin scientists believe the extrinsic factors are to blame for 90% of the visible signs of aging. When attempting to correct signs of aging, it is important to use products that not only treat, but also prevent future damage from occurring.
HYPERPIGMENTATION
(skin discoloration)
Hyperpigmentation is the darkening of an area of skin. Causes of hyperpigmentation range from sun damage caused by UV exposure, hormone fluctuations due to pregnancy or menopause, and skin injuries such as acne scarring. Certain skin types can also be more susceptible to hyperpigmentation.
ROSACEA
Rosacea is generally characterized by persistent redness and/or breakouts on the central areas of the face, commonly affecting the nose, cheeks, forehead and chin. Although there is no cure, there are many different methods of controlling rosacea symptoms. There are medical therapies that work well in conjunction with cosmeceuticals and professional treatments to control rosacea symptoms.
For optimum results multiple peels may be necessary.
MODIFIED AND ENHANCED
JESSNERS PEELS
These three PCA peels soften the depth of surface lines around the eyes and nasolabial folds, help clear acne, smooth skin texture and even skin tone especially in oily skin. The PCA peel blends combine AHAs with kojic acid (with or without hydroquinone) with a standard Jessners solution to address hyperpigmentation from sun damage, inflammation and hormonal changes. AHAs and melanogenesis inhibitors suppress the formation of new melanin, Hydoquinone is optional in these formulas and is FDA approved to lighten the skin.
PCA PEEL - Hydroquinone free
This enhanced Jessners formula is for more sensitive skin types, ethnic, skin and or those allergic to hydroquinone. This treatment will help unclog pores, clear acne and rejuvenate the skin. With its blend of alpha and beta hydroxyl acids and brighteners, it is also an excellent choice for correcting pigment discolorations and maintaining even pigmentation for those with hydroquinone sensitivities.
PCA PEEL with Hydroquinone
For those who want even skin tone and have no sensitivity to hydroquinone. It will help to quickly lighten pigment discolorations of any kind, such as melasma and acne damage. In addition, this peel helps inhibit active acne and correct post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from acne.
PCA Peel with Hydroquinone & Resorcinol
The most potent enhanced Jessners formula, this peel will even skin tone and provide more exfoliation for oilier, thicker and more resilient skin types, It is extremely effective on sun damaged and thickened skin. It is also excellent for those with active cystic acne and asphyxiated skin (dry on the surface, oily underneath), or those who desire a deeper treatment.
TCA PEELS
These are exceptional for the treatment of acne, hyperpigmentation, dehydration, aging skin, fine lines and wrinkles.
TCA Trichloroacetic Acid
A peeling agent commonly used to remove fine lines, wrinkles and acne scarring.
SENSI PEEL
This gentle solution is formulated primarily for ethnic skin and other extremely sensitive skin types. It will strengthen and brighten the skin while helping to treat sun damage and other forms of hyperpigmentation. This multi-faceted treatment also provides anti-inflammatory, anti-acne and antibacterial action, making it an excellent choice for helping to calm rosacea, as redness and inflammation can subside substantially after treatment.
ULTRA PEEL I
Specially formulated to treat dehydrated, maturing skin. It is also appropriate for any other skin types, conditions and sensitivities, it will help treat pigment disorders, fine lines and wrinkles, sun damaged skin and acne. This treatment is especially ideal for sensitive skin, as it products only a mild tingling sensation. Mild to moderate exfoliation will be experienced, depending on the number of layers applied. Overall, the final result will be plump, hydrated and ultra-soft skin.
